Must have open availability! We are seeking dedicated and personable cashiers to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for our store, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed. Deliver friendly and professional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and checkout procedures. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are presented attractively. Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash handling, issuing receipts, and balancing registers at shift end. Engage in basic retail math to calculate totals, discounts, and change accurately. Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed. Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or taking orders remotely. Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business through excellent communication skills. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear and respectful interaction. Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management. Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail merchandising is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
