Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their food and retail needs promptly and professionally Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Prepare food items following safety and sanitation standards, including basic food handling and food safety protocols Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operations, making change, and balancing cash drawers Upsell products by recommending additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper food storage Support food preparation tasks in the café or quick service environment while adhering to health regulations Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies to ensure smooth daily operations Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere Follow all sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations Qualifications Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments preferred; restaurant or grocery store experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing basic retail math calculations Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Basic understanding of sanitation standards and food safety regulations Prior experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-notch service.
