Job Description
Job Overview We're looking for an energetic, detail-oriented team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences. Position Summary This is a dual-role position that combines cashier with food expediting responsibilities at our Gather GVL location at our shipping container unit The Cashier / Expo serves as the face of The Wok Lobster® by providing outstanding customer service, accurately handling transactions, and ensuring every guest order is complete, accurate, and presented according to The Wok Lobster® brand standards. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, efficient, and takes pride in the details that elevate the guest experience. ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Cash Handling Greet every guest with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Accurately enter orders into the POS system. Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments. Count and verify cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions. Properly record and report tips according to company procedures. Follow all money-handling policies and safeguard company assets. Assist guests with menu questions and recommendations. Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain a clean, welcoming environment Food Expediting & Brand Standards Expedite all orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Garnish, plate, bag, and package food according to The Wok Lobster® standards. Verify all orders before they are delivered to guests. Ensure all modifications and special requests are completed correctly. Maintain speed of service without sacrificing quality. Protect the integrity of The Wok Lobster® by ensuring consistency, presentation, and attention to detail. Stocking & Support Stock desserts, beverages, utensils, napkins, sauces, lids, and guest supplies throughout the shift. Prepare sauces and assist with light prep duties as assigned. Refill front-of-house stations and maintain organization. Monitor inventory levels of guest-facing items. Maintain and communicate a low inventory list to the Kitchen Manager. Assist the kitchen and team members wherever needed to support operations. Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the work area Qualifications Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable handling cash and maintaining accurate records. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Basic math skills and accuracy with transactions. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. The Ideal Candidate Understands that hospitality creates loyal guests. Notices the small details others miss. Takes pride in presentation and accuracy. Moves with urgency while maintaining a positive attitude. Works well as part of a team. Can anticipate guest and operational needs before being asked.
