Why Work With Mad Myrtle's Ice Creamery Mad Myrtle's Ice Creamery is a family-owned business celebrating over 22 years on Myrtle Beach's Boardwalk. We pride ourselves on delivering great service, quality products, and a fun experience for both customers and employees. Mad Myrtle's Ice Creamery is seeking friendly and reliable Ice Cream Scoopers/Cashiers to support our busy, customer-facing ice cream shop located on Myrtle Beach's historic Ocean Boulevard and Boardwalk. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced, fun environment. No experience is required. Training is provided. What You'll Do Customer Service & Sales Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, courteous service Assist customers with ice cream selections, menu questions, and order customization Prepare cones, cups, sundaes, banana splits, shakes, and specialty items accurately Address customer questions or concerns and involve a supervisor when needed Cash Handling & Transactions Operate the point-of-sale system accurately Handle cash and card transactions responsibly Follow procedures to ensure drawer accuracy and transaction integrity Cleanliness & Food Safety Maintain cleanliness of serving areas, counters, equipment, and customer spaces Follow SCDA food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times Assist with restocking supplies and keeping workstations organized Teamwork & Reliability Work cooperatively with team members during busy shifts Follow direction from shift leads and managers Maintain reliable attendance, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
What We're Looking For Required:
Ability to provide friendly and courteous customer service Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work full scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays Reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to learn. No prior experience requiredPreferred:
High school diploma or equivalent Work Schedule & Environment Work environment includes standing for extended periods, cold temperatures, and high customer volume Part-time or full-time opportunities available Year-round or seasonal employment Seasonal period typically runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day If hired part-time, employee must be able to work the full scheduled shift Average 25 hours per week for part-time roles Up to 40 hours per week during summer and holiday weeks Day shift: approximately 10:45AM- 5:00PM Evening shift: approximately 5:00PM
- Close (midnight or later) Must be 18 years or older for day shift
