Duties Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly attitude Support the business by filling in as needed Follow phone etiquette standards when answering customer calls or inquiries Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team operations during busy periods Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to promote sales opportunities Excellent customer service skills with a focus on positive interactions and problem resolution Join us as an On Call Cashier and become a vital part of our dynamic retail team!
