Cashier and Stocker

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive excellent service while maintaining an organized and well-stocked environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a background in retail or warehouse operations. Responsibilities will include managing inventory, assisting customers at the register, and ensuring that products are properly stocked and displayed. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product selections. Manage inventory control through effective stocking, merchandising, and organization of products. Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking. Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including aisles, shelves, and storage areas. Assist in shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely stock replenishment. Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Engage in heavy lifting as required for stocking shelves and moving products. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems and retail math is advantageous. Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts (certification may be required). Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members. Organizational skills to maintain a tidy workspace and manage stock levels efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions. Experience with produce handling, packaging, cleaning, and merchandising is beneficial. Must be able to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
