Cashier DUTIES:

Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection. Stamp, attach, or change price tags on merchandise, referring to price list. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise. Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct. Set up display and dismantle. Scan store merchandise purchased. Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, or automatic debits. Create money orders. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Assist customers by providing information and resolving their concerns. Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners. Clean establishment and counter area. Greet customers entering and exiting establishments.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be minimum 18 years old to obtain TABC. Must have state issued ID or Driver License; Driver License is not required for job.

Work Schedule:

Part-time employment 20 hours per week-30 hours per week; can work 2nd or 3rd shift. Store is open until 11 pm weekdays except Friday and Saturdays until midnight.

Pay:

Starts at minimum wage during training; after training, Increase in pay.
