Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales transactions quickly and efficiently Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock supplies, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed through merchandising and stocking Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts and product placement to support overall store operations Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are beneficial for potential growth opportunities Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels our success!
