Job Description

Service and Parts Cashier Job Description Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers promptly and courteously. Address customer inquiries about services, parts, pricing, and policies. Assist customers in understanding their invoices and service charges.
Transaction Handling:
Accurately process cash, credit, and check transactions. Ensure all transactions are recorded properly and handle any discrepancies promptly. Prepare cash deposits and reconcile cash drawers at the end of the shift.
Invoice Processing:
Generate invoices for services and parts accurately. Ensure that all parts and labor charges are correctly inputted into the system. Verify and process warranty claims as needed.
Coordination:
Collaborate with service advisors and parts department to ensure seamless customer service. Coordinate with technicians to confirm service completion and relay information to customers.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized cashier area. Assist in inventory management by tracking parts sales and stock levels. Handle filing and record-keeping tasks related to service and parts transactions.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate personnel. Manage refunds or exchanges following dealership policies.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a cashier role or customer service preferred; familiarity with automotive services is a plus.
Skills:
Strong numerical and cash-handling abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented and organized. Friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Work Environment:
Typically works in a dealership setting with a combination of standing and sitting. May require working weekends or evenings depending on the dealership's hours.
