Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandising standards are met. Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability. Offer excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding shoppers, and resolving issues promptly. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries. Support team members with supervising experience by assisting in training new staff or managing busy periods when needed. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous. Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote sales initiatives confidently. Excellent phone etiquette skills for engaging with customers remotely or over the phone.
