You will be expected to pass and hold a current food manager certificate, and learn about our cheese offerings to explain to customers. Morning shifts from 8AM-12PM and 10AM-2PM We are a start-up cheese manufacturer, this position requires Saturday and/or Sunday availability. This job requires someone that has great people skills. Engaging customers with free samples will result in more sales and you earning more. Duties Operate cash registers and point of sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Increase sales by actively engaging customers to try free samples. Assist with product demonstrations and upselling additional products to enhance the customer experience. Ability to engage customers without fear of rejections. - You receive a portion of the profits from your sales. Maintain a clean and organized booth, ensuring items are nicely displayed. Know/learn proper handling for food samples. Be able to lift >50 lbs Be a self starter, able to set up and/or tear down market stall alone and problem solve. You will need reliable transportation and the ability to pickup/drop-off supplies from our Irving facility - all items fit in a medium size car. Experience Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Previous experience with food prep or selling preferred. Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic cash handling procedures is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
