Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing their questions or concerns Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity Upsell products by recommending additional items or promotions to enhance the customer's shopping experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and merchandising to keep the store inviting and organized Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone Support grocery store operations by adhering to safety protocols, managing checkout lines efficiently, and ensuring a smooth checkout process Experience Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling you to serve a broader customer base Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales techniques will set you up for success Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels exceptional service!
