Aquarium F&B cashier

JOB SUMMARY

The Food Court Cashier is responsible for proper service in the Aquarium Food Court.

POSITION AUTHORITY

The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.

POSITION GUIDELINES

Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform high-quality service at all times Responsible for learning the cash register system procedures Complete the inventory list and balance cash or charge transactions to the required level Perform all opening and closing duties required of this position Check the work area periodically for any unsafe practices or procedures and report to the proper manager Ensure the outlet is appropriately set up before opening Monitor guest's requests and ensure timely service Responsible for knowing the operational practices of the Food and Beverage outlet Any other duties as assigned; assignments are subject to change as management deems necessary to serve the needs of Moody Gardens best

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Prior Cashier experience preferred Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers certification before beginning work

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must be reliable and responsible Ability to exhibit maturity in the workplace and have a cooperative attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to remain on feet standing and walking for an entire shift Ability to lift to 50 pounds
