Cashier/Team Member

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and smiling cashier to join our team for the day shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in a grocery store, café, or quick service fast food restaurant environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while handling cash transactions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. You will also be responsible for serving beer and wine at the bar. Duties Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately Process customer purchases efficiently while ensuring a positive shopping experience Sanitate work areas and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health and safety standards Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and assisting with food preparation as needed Perform basic retail math calculations for accurate cash handling Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours Answer phone calls and take food orders over the phone Serve ice cream, fudge, and milkshakes Help the kitchen staff clean the restaurant as needed including sweeping, mopping, restocking, deep cleaning, dishes, etc. Help run food to customer's tables Assist the kitchen with prep work or making food orders as needed Requirements Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role within a grocery store, café, or quick service fast food restaurant is preferred Strong cash handling skills with the ability to operate a cash register efficiently Knowledge of retail math principles for accurate transaction processing Familiarity with culinary practices is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude Must be able to smile and converse with customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light loads as necessary Join our team and be part of an exciting environment where your contributions make a difference!
