Restaurant Cashier

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food service or retail industry and possess excellent customer service skills. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a positive experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Accurately process sales transactions using the Toast POS system Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and efficiently. Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization. Buss tables and ensure dining areas are clean and well-stocked. Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and store policies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Maintain knowledge of products and services to provide informed recommendations to customers. Skills Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant, grocery store, café, or similar food industry role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Team player mentality with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
