This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to a lively shopping environment. You'll handle transactions with precision, assist customers with their needs, and ensure the store remains inviting and well-organized. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods responsibly. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented to maximize sales opportunities. Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers, enhancing their shopping experience. Manage stock levels by stocking shelves efficiently, rotating inventory appropriately, and notifying management of low stock or damaged items. Uphold phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries to maintain professional communication. Support upselling initiatives by suggesting complementary products or higher-value options to increase sales while meeting customer needs. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transaction processes. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing store sections. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers effectively and working collaboratively with team members. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer populations confidently. Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling, giving correct change, and managing retail math calculations efficiently.
