Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demos when needed Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling with precision and integrity Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock registers with necessary supplies, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing products to maximize sales potential Upsell relevant products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries over the phone Skills Proven experience in cashiering within a retail or grocery store environment Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Demonstrated supervising experience or ability to assist team members during busy periods Ability to perform retail tasks such as merchandising, stocking, and product demos confidently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of grocery store operations and sales techniques including upselling strategies Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and inventory management Professional phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone Join us in creating an engaging shopping experience where every customer feels valued!
