Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a passion for sales in a retail environment.Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Assist customers in locating products and making recommendations
- Process returns and exchanges
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions
- Conduct product demonstrations when required
Qualifications:
- Must be full availability
- Live in or near the general area of the job site
- Ability to effectively sell products and services to customers
- Proficiency in Sales is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in a grocery store or retail setting
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Knowledge of retail math concepts such as calculating discounts and sales tax
- Experience with product demonstrations is advantageous
