As the friendly face of our grocery store, you will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and ensure that every customer leaves with a smile. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us maintain a welcoming environment while driving sales through excellent customer service. What you'll do Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and assisting with product demos. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, ensuring a pleasant environment for customers. Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products to optimize visibility and accessibility. Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with team members and customers, demonstrating strong communication skills. Support supervisory tasks as needed, mentoring new cashiers and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Basic qualifications Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Preferred qualifications Bilingual abilities to better serve our diverse customer base. Experience in grocery store operations or knowledge of retail math is a plus. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
