Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Department Cashier to join our dynamic dealership team. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions for our Service customers. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment, while your attention to detail will support accurate cash handling and sales processing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop sales skills, assist customers in times of need, and contribute to a positive vehicle repair and maintenance experience. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all customers warmly and ensuring they are being attended to during their Service visit Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process customer transactions swiftly, accurately and efficiently Assist with setting customer appointments and customer inquiries in support of our Service Advisors and Service Manager Documentation storage, filing, retrieval Coordinating customer Shuttle Service rides to and from the dealership, with our Driver(s) Issuing state motor vehicle (On the Spot) registration renewal tags and documents to customers who have their vehicle Emissions Testing completed in our Service Dept. Handling and securing all customer (private) information with care, at all times Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone, taking messages for Service Advisors, and when contacting customers for scheduling and reminders Previous cashiering experience in a retail or automotive parts, sales or service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous for growth opportunities Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening abilities Experience in resolving complex customer needs and/or working with customers during difficult / stressful circumstances would be highly beneficial Join us to be part of a great team, dedicated to delivering outstanding service to our valued customers!
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
