Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their checkout needs using POS (Point of Sale) systems Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures Provide product demos when needed to highlight features and benefits of merchandise Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment Conduct basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and returns with precision Offer excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support inventory management through stocking, product replenishment, and merchandising efforts Assist with product demos and answer customer questions about store offerings Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies during all cashier activities Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is a plus but not mandatory Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift moderate loads as needed Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales is beneficial for understanding product placement and merchandising strategies Join us as a Part-Time Cashier and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-notch service while building your retail career!
