Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns Upsell convenience items, snacks, beverages, and other products to enhance customer experience and sales Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items Handle cash handling procedures with precision and ensure proper cash register balancing at shift end Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low inventory items Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills and a positive approach to teamwork
