Job Overview If you are a high school student (16+) or even college student and looking for a quick summer job then join our dynamic retail team as a Stocker/Cashier, where you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment. Your energetic approach will ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products, displays are attractive, and customers receive exceptional service at the checkout. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Whether managing inventory or assisting customers, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive store success and enhance the shopping experience for every visitor. Responsibilities Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products and maintaining proper merchandising standards Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for customer transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items Assist with inventory management through stocking, replenishing, and organizing merchandise to ensure availability and visual appeal Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions to increase sales and enhance their shopping experience Qualifications No qualifications needed but appreciated if you do have: Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable Demonstrated supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently Excellent customer service skills, including polite phone etiquette and active listening Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform stocking duties efficiently Days worked: June 25th and July 1st-4th Join us and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while growing your retail expertise!
