Job Summary Join our team as an Early AM Cashier and finish your day 10 or 11 am?? This position can be flexible, 3 to 5 days a week, no weekends ...In this vital role, you will be the first friendly face customers see, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. This position could be full or part-time, but requires a reliable person to be here around 5:15 am! Your positive attitude and attention to detail will ensure a smooth checkout experience, setting the tone for a successful shopping trip. This position is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoy engaging with customers early in the morning. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly as they arrive and assist with their purchases Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities Follow all cash handling procedures and ensure accurate balancing of registers at shift end Skills Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities are a plus Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous Knowledge of POS systems, retail math, and basic math skills for cash handling accuracy Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos confidently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to start your day with purpose while developing valuable retail skills.
