Hashtag Cannabis is committed to supporting our local communities by providing a wide variety of high quality products at fair prices. Hashtag's Shift Leads help bring our company's mission to life: to help, inform and inspire others. They are responsible for maintaining a safe & welcoming environment for staff and guests, identifying and leveraging their team members' strengths, & encouraging others to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. The Shift Lead will organize and direct our sales team members and seek out opportunities to improve floor operations and the guest experience. Additionally, the Shift Lead is expected to model Hashtag's values as a leader of their shift, demanding and delivering the very best in customer service in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Promotes a positive, professional and safe work environment during periods of high volume and to set an example for the rest of the team Assists with staff training and development by reinforcing successful performance expectations and providing constructive feedback and coaching Responsible for daily cash management and processing Oversees the timely merchandising of the sales floor and execution of sales promotions and weekly tasks Manages incoming deliveries, both cannabis and accessories, from manifesting through backstocking in collaboration with other team members in store and at HQ. Helps maintain accurate inventory counts through proper audits and inventory investigations when needed. Ensures every transaction is completed in accordance with Washington State law as well as internal Hashtag policies, working with integrity and setting the industry standard for exceptional guest service Responds to and resolves both digital and in-person customer complaints and inquiries in a professional, solution driven manner Communicates and reinforces federal and state health, safety and regulatory guidelines as directed Tracks and ensures staff operations comply with local and state laws Required Skills Minimum 6 months experience in cannabis retail or service related industry Strong money handling and accounting skills Communicates effectively, both written and verbal, prioritizing inclusive and gender-sensitive language and above all, being patient & appropriate with all coworkers and guests Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build trust and inform guests Ability to prioritize and track multiple operational tasks and projects in real-time Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Eager to receive and provide constructive feedback to staff on work performance Familiarity with MacOS, GSuite, and Slack The ability to move 25 pounds regularly The ability to move about inside the shop to access products, office machinery, etc. The ability to respond quickly to sounds The ability to move safely over uneven surfaces or in confined spaces The ability to ascend/descend a ladder to stock products, clean air filters, etc. The ability to identify and respond to potentially dangerous situations Required Competencies Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays with reliability and punctuality Ability to problem-solve in real-time in a fast-paced work environment Proven ability to exercise objectivity and confidentiality Comfortable navigating our third-party software programs and troubleshooting technical issues Ability to build and maintain trust among staff in a team setting Ability to conduct and present oneself in a positive and professional manner Please no phone calls/No recruiting agencies Salary & Benefits $19.15/hr + tips We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package and a collaborative work environment in an emerging market.
