Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle cash responsibly will contribute to the overall success of our store. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their purchases. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling practices are followed. Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the customer shopping experience. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, including merchandising displays. Assist with stocking shelves and inventory management as needed. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions. Utilize strong phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns. Must be able to fill Propane tanks Experience Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in merchandising and stocking is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
