Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the pump and inside the store. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for cash, credit, and debit transactions. Assist customers with product demos, upselling items such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products attractively. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to proper cash handling procedures. Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and additional services through friendly communication. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times and respond promptly to customer inquiries or concerns via phone etiquette or in person. Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments if applicable. Demonstrated ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations confidently. Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous. Supervising experience is beneficial for potential leadership opportunities within the team. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings or weekends. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions at all touchpoints.
