Gift Shop Cashier

Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Conduct inventory checks, restock merchandise, and assist with stockroom organization Use effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Promote store specials and new products through engaging communication and product knowledge Experience Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in a grocery store or gift shop environment Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members Basic math skills for cash transactions, sales calculations, and inventory management Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively retail environment where your enthusiasm makes a difference.
