Sales Canvasser Job Description Signaturenrgy, a leading company in the energy sector, is excited to announce a job opening for a Sales Canvasser. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about transitioning communities to renewable energy solutions and contributing to environmental sustainability. The Sales Canvasser role is a contract/temporary position that offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with customers and communities. Please note, this job is not a remote opportunity, requiring in-person interactions to effectively reach and educate potential clients about our renewable energy offerings. The selected candidate will join a dedicated team focused on decreasing carbon footprints via innovative energy products. This role requires enthusiasm, persistence, and excellent interpersonal skills, as it involves direct communication with prospective customers. Being a field-based position, the Sales Canvasser will play a crucial role in the expansion of our market presence by reaching out to potential customers in various neighborhoods. Duties and Responsibilities Canvass neighborhoods as assigned to introduce renewable energy solutions and products to potential new customers. Engage with residents to educate them on the benefits of switching from traditional power sources to more sustainable options. Effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of renewable energy solutions to help customers understand the impact of their choices on the environment. Gather feedback from prospects and customers to enhance future outreach strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the energy sector and market trends to provide accurate information to the public. Document interactions, interest levels, and follow-up requirements promptly in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly canvassing targets as set by the Sales Manager. Attend team meetings and training sessions to hone professional skills and enhance product knowledge. Act as a brand ambassador, representing Signaturenrgy with professionalism and integrity in all interactions. Resolve any customer concerns and questions by providing accurate and timely information, referring more complex issues to senior sales personnel. Requirements Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Demonstrate a dependable and reliable work ethic. Have own transportation suitable for travel within designated canvassing areas. Availability to work Monday to Saturday, with flexible hours as required by campaign needs. Prior experience in sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of individuals. A keen interest in environmental sustainability and renewable energy industries. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High level of self-motivation and a self-starter attitude to seek out new opportunities for customer engagement. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
