Griswolds Outdoor Lighting - Brighton, MI Performance-Based Pay | Residential + Commercial Lead Generation Griswolds Outdoor Lighting is hiring a motivated, outgoing Canvasser / Appointment Setter to generate residential and commercial leads for our permanent outdoor lighting and seasonal lighting services throughout Brighton, Livingston County, and surrounding Southeast Michigan markets. This is not an hourly "sit around and see what happens" sales job. This is a performance-based role for someone who is comfortable knocking doors, starting conversations, creating opportunities, and getting paid based on results. Your job is to generate qualified leads and set appointments . Our team handles the follow-up, quoting, and closing . What You'll Do Knock targeted residential neighborhoods to generate interest in permanent outdoor lighting and seasonal lighting Visit local businesses, commercial properties, HOAs, retail centers, office buildings, churches, and other commercial prospects Start conversations with homeowners, property managers, business owners, and decision-makers Generate qualified leads and set appointments for our team Collect contact information and basic project details Hand off leads clearly to our team for follow-up and closing Represent Griswolds Outdoor Lighting professionally in the field What This Role Is This role is focused on lead generation and appointment setting — not quoting, project management, or installation.

Creating opportunities Starting conversations Setting qualified appointments Opening doors with residential and commercial prospects Our team is responsible for: Follow-up Quoting Design / scope Closing the sale Compensation This is a performance-based role designed for someone who wants to earn based on results rather than hourly time. Pay Structure $35 per qualified residential appointment that is completed $75 per qualified commercial appointment / site visit that is completed 1% commission on jobs sold from your leads Strong earning potential for someone who is consistent, outgoing, and good at generating real opportunities. What Counts as a Qualified Lead / Appointment We want real opportunities, not random names.
A qualified lead generally includes:
A homeowner, business owner, manager, property manager, or decision-maker who has actual interest in our services Valid contact information Permission for our team to follow up A completed appointment, estimate, or site visit with our team Ideal Background This role is a strong fit for someone with experience in: Door-to-door sales Canvassing Appointment setting Home services sales Roofing, solar, windows, pest control, siding, or exterior service sales Local commercial prospecting / business development You do not need to be the person closing the sale, but you do need to be comfortable: Starting conversations with strangers Handling rejection Working independently Generating opportunities consistently Being measured on results What We're Looking For Confident, outgoing, and comfortable talking to people in person Strong communication skills Self-motivated and results-driven Comfortable with residential neighborhood canvassing and commercial prospecting Reliable and professional Organized enough to capture lead details and hand them off cleanly Comfortable working in a performance-based role Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience Door-to-door sales Appointment setting Home services sales Roofing, solar, pest control, windows, siding, landscaping, or other exterior service sales Commercial prospecting / local business development About Griswolds Outdoor Lighting Griswolds Outdoor Lighting provides high-end permanent outdoor lighting and seasonal lighting solutions for residential and commercial customers throughout Southeast Michigan.
