Position Overview Emerald Energy NJ is seeking motivated and outgoing Door-to-Door Canvassers (Appointment Setters) to join our growing field marketing team. In this role, you will engage directly with homeowners in assigned neighborhoods, introduce them to our solar and energy solutions, and schedule appointments for our Solar Consultants. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people, working outdoors, and earning based on their performance. No solar experience is required—we provide training for motivated individuals with the right attitude and work ethic. What You'll Do Neighborhood Outreach Knock doors in assigned residential communities Engage homeowners in friendly, professional conversations Introduce homeowners to available solar and energy-saving solutions Educate prospects on potential benefits and available consultation opportunities Appointment Setting Qualify homeowner interest Schedule appointments for Solar Consultants Confirm appointment details accurately Generate quality leads through effective communication Brand Representation Represent Emerald Energy NJ professionally in the community Build trust and rapport with homeowners Maintain a positive attitude throughout daily interactions Uphold company standards and values in every conversation Personal Development Participate in ongoing training and coaching Learn proven communication and lead-generation techniques Continuously improve appointment-setting performance What We're Looking For Required Qualities Reliable and professional Positive attitude and strong work ethic Self-motivated and goal-oriented Coachable and eager to learn Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods Comfortable initiating conversations with homeowners Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: Door-to-door sales Appointment setting Canvassing Solar sales Roofing sales Home improvement sales Retail sales Customer service Lead generation However, we are happy to train candidates who demonstrate strong character, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
