OF POSITION

Emgage works to empower Muslim American communities through civic engagement, voter education, and leadership development. We are committed to increasing participation in the democratic process and building sustainable community power across the state. Field Canvassing Fellows play a critical role in expanding voter outreach efforts across the State. Fellows will engage directly with community members to increase voter registration, educate voters on key issues, and mobilize turnout for the 2026 election cycle. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about civic engagement, grassroots organizing, and community empowerment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Canvass voters through door-to-door outreach Conduct phone banking and text banking Assist with voter registration Attend community events, festivals, and local meetings Attend Emgage's Policy Advocacy Day 2026 Help organize and recruit volunteers Track voter outreach data accurately and consistently Support Get Out The Vote (GOTV) and Voter Protection efforts Serve as Poll Challengers for August Primary and November General elections 20 hours a week

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable speaking with voters and community members Reliable transportation required Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed Commitment to civic engagement and community empowerment Basic familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) preferred Prior organizing or canvassing experience is a plus, but not required
