Blue Mountain Networks is expanding—and we want you to join us as a Community Outreach Specialist!
Job Summary :
As a Residential Connectivty Specialist with Blue Mountain Networks, you'll be on the front lines, bringing high-speed fiber internet to homes in your community. Your focus will be on prospecting, engaging, and signing up new customers for the best internet service in town.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Canvass neighborhoods where we have internet service. Interact with the community at various events to help get leads. Build a network to take advantage of customer referrals. Maintain sales production to meet or exceed individual goals. Identify residential opportunities in the defined territory through prospecting and selling face-to-face. Follow up with leads in person, on the phone, or by email to close the business. Local travel to prospecting locations in a company vehicle. Represent the company at community events in our target market. Track sales activity and report progress to management. Other duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to always represent oneself and the company professionally and ethically. Knowledge of sales practices and principles is a plus. Ability to persuade. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts professional and courteous manner. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and manage projects effectively. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to make sound decisions using the information at hand. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Coachable and willing to learn and improve sales and communication skills. Willingness to support and contribute to team members during daily team calls and interactions is important.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Previous sales experience (door-to-door, retail, or telecommunications) is a plus but not required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods. Basic understanding of internet and phone services; willingness to learn technical details. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
