Full Job Description Door-Knocking Team Manager Company:
Blue Mountain Builders Location:
Nashville / Davidson County, TN (in-field)
Type:
About the Role Blue Mountain Builders sources motivated homeowners who want to sell and feeds those deals into our construction and investment pipeline. Our door-knock team is the front line of that engine. We're hiring a Door-Knocking Team Manager to build, lead, and hold accountable a team of field reps who knock neighborhoods, start conversations with homeowners, and generate qualified seller leads every single week. This is not a desk job. You'll be in the field with your team, coaching in real time, and personally owning the number: qualified leads in, appointments set, deals closed. What You'll Do Hire and staff the team. Recruit, screen, and onboard door-knocking reps. Build a bench so we're never short-handed and can scale territory as volume grows. Train and develop. Run ride-alongs, script practice, and objection-handling drills. Get new reps productive fast and keep veterans sharp. Manage daily field operations. Assign territories, set daily/weekly knock and conversation targets, and run accountability so reps hit their numbers. Protect lead quality. Enforce our qualification standards so what enters the pipeline is real. Tag and tier leads (hot / warm / cold) accurately and keep the CRM clean. Own the CRM discipline. Ensure every rep logs contacts, notes, and follow-ups in ActiveCampaign the same day, with SMS follow-up handled through Salesmsg. Report on performance. Track knock counts, contact rates, qualified-lead conversion, and cost-per-lead. Bring the numbers and the plan to weekly reviews. Coach to results. Identify who's producing, who needs help, and who needs to go. Manage underperformance directly and reward top performers. Required Qualifications Proven experience hiring AND managing a door-knocking team. This is non-negotiable — you've personally recruited knockers, trained them, and run a team in the field, not just knocked doors yourself. Track record of hitting and driving lead-generation or sales targets through a team. Comfortable being outdoors and on your feet in the field the majority of the day, in Nashville weather. Strong accountability instincts — you set clear expectations and hold people to them without flinching. CRM-literate; you keep pipelines clean and make decisions off the data. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Nice to Have Real estate, wholesaling, or investor-facing experience. Familiarity with ActiveCampaign, Salesmsg, or comparable CRM/SMS tools. Experience building compensation and incentive structures for field reps. Local knowledge of Nashville / Middle Tennessee neighborhoods. Compensation (Starting structure — adjust to your final numbers.) Base salary: competitive, commensurate with management experience.
