Who we are:
DVCanvass is an agency hired by progressive nonprofits to fundraise and generate grassroots pressure on their behalf. We go door-to-door raising awareness around critical issues and inspiring community members to take action, helping the charities we work for fulfill their world-changing missions. We've had the honor of working for illustrious organizations such as Amnesty International, Oxfam, Greenpeace USA, the Southern Poverty Law Center and many others! What you'll do: You'll join our management team and oversee our existing Seattle door canvass team. You'll support everything from the execution of its long term strategy to its day to day operation in collaboration with the lead Canvass Director and fellow Assistant Canvass Director. You'll work on campaigns to end gun violence, uphold reproductive rights, advocate for refugees and migrants, and provide humanitarian aid to those who need it the most. You'll support the development of new and existing staff, including everything from orientation to the leadership development of new managers. You'll help train and optimize the performance of 9-20 door-to-door staff, season-dependent. You'll canvass door-to-door in the field with the team multiple times a week. This includes walking up and down stairs and hills multiple times a day, outdoors in all seasons and weather, either autonomously or with reasonable accommodation, talking to folks and raising money. You'll collaborate with the National Door Director and lead Canvass Director to strategize around hitting and maintaining budget.
