Required as needed Contract -2 Years Client- Albama Power Position Overview The Lighting Sales Representative III is a senior-level sales professional responsible for leading and executing sales strategies for lighting products and solutions. This role focuses on building and managing key accounts, driving new business development, and delivering consultative, energy-efficient lighting solutions to commercial and industrial clients. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in lighting sales, deep technical knowledge of lighting technologies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with existing clients Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities Serve as a trusted advisor for lighting and energy-efficiency solutions New Business Development Identify and pursue new client opportunities across targeted industries Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence Generate and qualify new leads Technical Expertise Maintain in-depth knowledge of: LED lighting systems Fixtures and controls Energy-efficient solutions Emerging lighting technologies Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements Consultative Sales Approach Provide customized lighting solutions aligned with: Client objectives Energy efficiency goals Budget constraints Deliver compelling ROI-focused value propositions Sales Presentations & Proposals Deliver persuasive presentations to stakeholders and decision-makers Prepare detailed proposals including: Pricing Product specifications Project timelines Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposal accuracy Negotiation & Contract Management Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements Secure contracts that meet or exceed revenue targets Order & Project Coordination Oversee order processing, delivery coordination, and installation (if applicable) Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout project execution Market & Competitive Analysis Analyze market trends and competitor activity Identify new sales opportunities and growth areas Sales Leadership Lead, mentor, or manage members of the sales team Provide training, guidance, and performance support Networking & Industry Engagement Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences Build professional networks and generate new business leads Reporting & Performance Tracking Prepare regular sales reports detailing: Revenue performance Market conditions Activity metrics Pipeline status Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field 10-15 years of experience in lighting sales or related industry Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets Comprehensive knowledge of: Commercial lighting systems Energy-efficient technologies Industry regulations and standards Strong technical aptitude Excellent communication and presentation skills Exceptional negotiation and leadership capabilities Proficiency in CRM software Willingness to travelSimilar jobs in Birmingham, AL
