We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction, remodeling, landscaping, outdoor living, or similar project-based sales environments. Position Summary The Sales Representative specializes in selling dock repairs, shoreline erosion control solutions, and dock accessories. This position is responsible for building customer relationships, conducting site assessments, preparing accurate estimates, closing sales, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience from initial consultation through project completion. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, skilled closer, and problem solver who enjoys helping customers find solutions that improve their waterfront lifestyle. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, text, and online channels. Schedule and conduct on-site consultations and property assessments. Evaluate customer needs, project goals, and budgets. Prepare accurate project estimates, proposals, and work orders. Present proposals, answer questions, and close sales. Process contracts, deposits, and customer documentation through company systems. Educate customers on available products, services, warranties, and upgrade options. Follow up throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction. Project Coordination Maintain detailed customer records, photos, notes, and communications. Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure projects remain on schedule. Communicate project updates, modifications, delays, or changes to customers. Participate in project completion reviews and customer satisfaction follow-ups. Support efforts to generate positive online reviews and referrals. Industry Knowledge & Business Development Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, products, and services. Maintain working knowledge of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, TVA, and local waterfront regulations. Attend trade shows, boat shows, networking events, and company meetings as required. Continuously develop product knowledge and sales skills. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of sales experience in construction, remodeling, landscaping, outdoor living, or related industries. Experience preparing estimates, quotes, and project proposals. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors and navigate uneven terrain, docks, shorelines, and waterfront environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Experience selling high-end residential projects, outdoor living spaces, landscaping, remodeling, or waterfront improvements. Experience with NetSuite, ServiceTitan, or similar business software. Knowledge of shoreline permitting and waterfront regulations. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and travel to customer sites. Schedule & Travel Full-time position (40+ hours per week).
