A person in this position is accountable for inventory control and product rotation, along with maintaining areas and keeping them orderly, filling propane, etc. Warehouse employees are required to perform all required tasks with the utmost concentration and dedication. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently. Accountable for inventory control and product rotation. Unloading propane railcars. Assisting customers with propane and fuels order and parts and fittings. Load and unload company and vendor trucks safely and efficiently documenting all discrepancies and damage. Maintaining gas services station. Load outbound merchandise ensuring merchandise is secured following DOT load securement rules. Participate in merchandise check-in, receive, transfer, and storage utilizing established standards. Stow freight to proper locations. Ensure merchandise is prepared correctly for shipment and sale including proper shipping documents. Move and spot trailers in the loading/unloading area. Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a positive manner. Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors. Assist customers with product information and orders if needed. Keep Distribution Center and outside facility clean and organized at all times to ensure safety. Operate forklift and hand trucks. Perform equipment inspections. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
High School diploma or GED preferred. Six months warehouse experience with previous customer service experience preferred. Must be certified to operate forklift with three months forklift experience preferred. Knowledge of computer systems operations an associated software. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations. Demonstrate skill product recognition. Acknowledge all customers, employees and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner. Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors. Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions. Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
