Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the Parkway Pharmacy Sales Team, the Specialty Pharmacy Sales Representative will expand the availability of accessible healthcare for our patients by reaching providers in the Jacksonville, FL territory to share the value and impact of Parkway's services. This role is for a demonstrated sales professional to use their talent to have a positive impact in the daily lives of patients. This role is a highly visible position, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Business Development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with physicians, medical assistants, nurses, etc. as an industry expert to convey Parkway's mission of better pharmacy/patient experience.
- Identify and develop long lasting relationships with physicians and staff to acquire new accounts and expand existing ones.
- Develop and successfully implement a territory sales plan to meet patient needs, obtain defined sales goals and increase Parkway's market share.
- Build strong relationships with cross functional partners internally at Parkway Pharmacy.
- Leverage relationships with local business and manufacturer counterparts to organically grow advocates with the territory.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improvement sales performance.
- Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently gain local and reasonable call to action in order to close on every sale.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships and to achieve win-win agreements between Parkway Pharmacy and clients.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities
- Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, accounts, disease state product and share this market intelligence information with in-field sales managers to achieve alignment to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
- Answers basic product/service questions to prospective physicians/healthcare facilities.
- Qualifies all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions.
- Learns and demonstrates a fundamental understanding of the Parkway Pharmacy products and services and clearly articulates value propositions to prospective customers.
- Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with Parkway Pharmacy core competencies, policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of an associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Two (2)+ years of medical office sales experience (provider facing)
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools, possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing strong relationships with key provider decision makers in defined territory is preferred.
- Strong customer focus, demonstrated teamwork and collaboration and selling skills.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy industry.
- Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts quickly to all aspects of the selling approach. Understands and leverages findings to develop sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and is viewed as a credible and responsible role model and resources among peers.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Operates with a high level of integrity and builds trust quickly and genuinely.
- Proven record of sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Strong organizational skills along with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
