The responsibilities require the Sales Representative to conduct his/her business with key targeted primary care, internal medicine physicians, psychiatrists, neurologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains and utilizes expert product knowledge and highly effective selling skills to influence targeted health care professionals (HCP) to support the use of Validus promoted products. Develop comprehensive and accurate sales presentations using all approved marketing and selling materials. Maintain proficient knowledge of promoted product disease states and indications. Executes brand strategies to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message. Pre-call plans to meet health HCP's needs. Builds discussion around HCP needs and opportunities. Identifies top plans for HCP. Engages HCP in comprehensive discussions on the payer environment, copays, and formulary access. Analyzes territory information to optimize HCP calls. Monitors local market conditions for changes that impact business. Develops plans to maximize sales programs. Completes all administrative responsibilities as directed by management. Successfully completes all Sales Training requirements. Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, etc.) and Company policy and SOPs. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of 3 years successful pharmaceutical sales experience. Connect with primary care, internal medicine physicians, Neurology and Psychiatry HCPs preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications. Ability to travel (including overnight travel). Should reside in territory geography as most of the targets are in the area.
