Required Years of Experience 2 years Job Details Position Purpose The Ambassador serves as the face of San Vicente Santa Monica and plays a central role in both member experience and membership growth. This position combines refined floor presence with proactive membership development, ensuring members and their guests feel welcomed, comfortable, seen, and genuinely cared for while also identifying and cultivating strong prospective applicants. Working in close partnership with the front desk, restaurant leadership, and membership team, this role is responsible for plotting the room, maintaining a consistent presence during service, building relationships with members and guests, and discreetly generating interest in membership from the right prospective candidates. Schedule On the floor for each lunch and dinner service. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and club events as needed to support the business. Key Responsibilities Member Experience and Club Presence Be the visible and charismatic face of the club during lunch and dinner service, creating a warm, polished, highly personalized arrival and dining experience for members and guests. Maintain a constant floor presence and engage members and their guests with confidence, discretion, and genuine hospitality.
Ensure members and guests feel comfortable, recognized, and cared for through attentive relationship-building and thoughtful follow-through.
Learn member preferences, patterns, priorities, and social dynamics in order to elevate service and personalize interactions. Meet new members whenever possible, introduce them to the club experience, and help foster immediate connection and belonging.
Gather real-time feedback on member sentiment, service levels, club atmosphere, and guest experience, and communicate insights to leadership. Ensure all member infractions are reported accurately and without delay. Collaborate with your supervisor to address disciplinary matters in full accordance with club standards, maintaining discretion, consistency, and sound judgment in every decision.
Conduct member orientations to ensure new members understand club expectations, culture, amenities, and standards of conduct. Floor Coordination and Front Desk Partnership Work in conjunction with the front desk to plot the floor strategically for lunch and dinner service, taking into account member preferences, VIP considerations, guest flow, and overall room energy.
Support the arrival experience by helping manage the entrance, greeting priority members and guests, and assisting the front desk as needed during peak periods.
Coordinate closely with food and beverage and operations teams to ensure table readiness, service continuity, and a polished member journey from arrival through departure.
Help maintain a high-touch, seamless service environment that reflects the standards and culture of San Vicente Clubs. Membership Growth and Applicant Generation Generate new membership applicants by cultivating relationships with members, guests, and external prospects who align with the club's brand and community standards.
Identify guests and visitors who would be strong membership candidates and make subtle, thoughtful approaches that encourage interest in joining the club.
Promote the benefits, culture, and distinct value of SVB through conversation, tours, introductions, and personal follow-up with appropriate prospects.
Encourage completion of the nomination process in a discreet, polished, and effective manner.
Maintain strong communication with the membership team regarding leads, prospective applicants, member referrals, and application pipeline activity.
Represent the club in a manner that builds awareness, strengthens community presence, and supports long-term membership growth. Relationship Management Act as a key point of contact for members, handling inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly, professionally, and with discretion.
Build trusted relationships across a diverse membership base and navigate interactions with tact, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
Support member retention by recognizing changes in engagement, noting concerns, and helping leadership understand member needs and opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a unified and highly personalized approach to hospitality and membership service. Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Naturally charismatic with a personality that shines and an ability to command a room with warmth, polish, and authenticity.
Strong hospitality instincts with exceptional guest-facing presence and a service-first mindset.
Proven ability to build relationships, read social dynamics, and create comfort across a sophisticated membership environment.

Strong organizational ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-touch setting.
Ability to collaborate effectively with front desk, F&B, operations, and membership teams.
Sound judgment in handling confidential member and applicant information.
Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and club programming as required. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, private clubs, restaurants
Prior experience in a Maitre D', VIP guest relations, or floor-facing Food and Beverage management
Experience working with high-profile, creative, or discerning clientele preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using membership, reservation, or CRM platforms preferred.
