Membership Sales & Marketing The Elm City Club New Haven, CT Job Details Part-time $25 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Professional networking Client database systems Business development Prospecting Newsletters (communication methods) CRM system proficiency Productivity software Stakeholder relationship building Time management Full Job Description Position Summary The Membership Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for growing and retaining the Club's membership while increasing revenue through dues. This position serves as the primary ambassador for the Club, developing relationships with prospective members, coordinating membership recruitment efforts, and promoting the Club's facilities to the New Haven Community. Essential Responsibilities Membership Development Recruit and onboard new members through networking, referrals, and community outreach. Conduct club tours and present membership opportunities to prospective members. Develop and implement membership recruitment campaigns. Maintain a pipeline of prospective members and track leads. Process membership applications and coordinate approval procedures. Organize member recruitment events, open houses, and prospective member receptions. Member Retention & Engagement Welcome and orient new members. Foster strong relationships with current members. Monitor member satisfaction and address concerns promptly. Develop programs and events that enhance member engagement. Promote participation in club activities and amenities. Marketing & Communications Assist with the development of marketing materials, newsletters, social media content, and promotional campaigns. Maintain accurate membership and prospect databases. Represent the Club at community and networking events. Promote club programs, dining events, and special offerings. Administrative Duties Maintain membership records and reports. Prepare monthly membership and sales activity reports. Assist with budgeting and forecasting membership growth. Ensure compliance with Club policies and procedures. Coordinate with accounting regarding membership billing and dues collection. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of sales, hospitality, membership, or business development experience. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events and member functions. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Experience Private club, hospitality, hotel, country club, or nonprofit membership experience. Knowledge of membership recruitment and retention strategies. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience. Aggressive commission based on membership growth and sales performance. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
