Membership Manager on Duty (Evenings) (Full-Time),
Speer Branch YMCA Description:
The Manager on Duty (MOD) plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for our members, guests, program participants, and staff. This position provides leadership and support in the absence of the Executive Director or their designee, maintains smooth facility operations, and ensures a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. Strong communication, professionalism, and active listening are essential in all in-person and phone interactions.
Duties:
Deliver outstanding service to members, guests, program participants, and staff, both in-person and by phone, contributing to member satisfaction and retention. Secure the facility at designated times and ensure safety protocols are followed. Remain visible, approachable, and available to assist members and staff. Respond to emergencies, complete accident/incident reports accurately, and submit them to management in a timely manner. Ensure that YMCA policies and procedures are consistently followed by both members and staff. Communicate issues, concerns, or observations to the appropriate management personnel. Complete Manager on Duty (MOD) reports as required. Provide instruction, guidance, or supervision to 3-10 employees during assigned shifts. Perform all duties of a Member Services Associate as needed. Conduct facility checks and demonstrate knowledge of policies, procedures, and programs across all departments. Promote and uphold YMCA programs, mission, and core values.
Requirements:
Minimum age: 18 Availability during the evenings (1:30pm-9:00pm) High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred At least 1 year of member or customer service experience Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Pay & Perks:
Full-Time at $17.00-$19.00/hour, depending on experience.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 1:30pm- 09:00pm. Free YMCA membership for entire household. Level 2 background check & 10-panel drug screen required.
