Part-time shifts available during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Overview Black Box VR is redefining fitness by combining immersive virtual reality gaming with high-intensity strength training to create a competitive, engaging, and results-driven experience. We are looking for high-energy Hero Trainers who thrive in customer-facing environments and are passionate about helping people improve their lives through fitness, gaming, and community. This role plays a critical part in the full customer journey — from first experience to long-term member success — and serves as a key connection point between our field marketing efforts and the in-gym member experience. Your Role As a Hero Trainer, you will guide prospective members through their in-gym experience and help convert strong first impressions into long-term memberships. You'll work closely with our Field Marketing Specialists to create a smooth and engaging transition from community events into the gym experience, ensuring continuity, trust, and a high-quality onboarding process for every prospective member.

This role blends:

Membership sales Customer engagement Fitness coaching Community building Lead generation, outreach & social media engagement Gym operations Hero Trainers are also an important extension of Black Box VR's marketing system and play a key role in helping generate excitement, maintain engagement, and convert leads into active members. • New Member Sales, Lead Follow-Up & Conversion Guide prospective members through tours, demos, and onboarding experiences Continue the customer journey initiated by Field Marketing Specialists Build relationships, understand customer goals, and convert strong first impressions into memberships Conduct timely lead follow-up across all sales and marketing channels while interest is high Maintain accurate lead tracking and communication within company systems Support social media and promotional efforts using company-provided campaigns and content 30%•Member Retention & Community Engagement Deliver an exceptional member experience that drives consistency and long-term retention Build relationships that improve long-term retention and engagement Help create and support in-gym events, competitions, and member activities that build excitement, community, and long-term engagement Help foster a strong fitness and gaming community environment Support a welcoming, high-energy gym culture 20%•Marketing Support & Gym Operations Support daily gym operations and front desk activities Assist with equipment readiness, cleanliness, and organization Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming environment Complete administrative and operational tasks as needed Follow safety, operational, and customer service standards Compensation & Perks Part-Time W-2 Position $15/hour + commission Commission opportunity: Earn 25% of the first paid month of membership dues for each new member sale Complimentary Black Box VR membership Casual fitness dress code Growth opportunities within Black Box VR Fun, fast-paced, and technology-driven work environment Qualifications Passion for fitness, gaming, technology, and helping others Strong communication and relationship-building skills Sales-oriented mindset with strong follow-through Comfortable in a fast-paced customer-facing environment Organized, dependable, and self-motivated 1+ year of customer service, sales, fitness, hospitality, or related experience preferred Preferred Experience Fitness or gym experience Membership or consultative sales experience VR, gaming, esports, or technology interest Community engagement or event experience Lead follow-up or CRM experience Social media marketing familiarity Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs Frequent standing, walking, and member interaction About Black Box VR Black Box VR combines immersive virtual reality gaming with high-intensity interval strength training to create one of the most engaging fitness experiences in the industry.
