Job Description

Company Overview Academic Employees Credit Union is a dedicated financial cooperative committed to serving the financial needs of educators and their families. We prioritize community, trust, and personalized service to help our members achieve their financial goals. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Member Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face and trusted advisor for our members, providing exceptional service while managing a variety of banking transactions. Your proactive approach will help foster strong relationships, promote financial products, and ensure smooth daily operations within our credit union. Responsibilities Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union. Provide excellent customer service while promoting the credit union's deposit products and services. Provide in-person and by-telephone general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services and policies. Reply to members' requests, problems and complaints and/or direct them to the appropriate persons for assistance. Close accounts, open new accounts and service existing accounts. Provide members with all necessary information for membership. Process new account information including ordering checks and debit cards, issuing temporary online passwords, mailing welcome letters, etc. Perform various transactions for members related to all credit union account types. Keep your cash drawer balanced and accurate. Assist members in balancing their accounts. Maintain compliance with credit union policies, regulations, and security procedures. Protect member privacy. Perform related duties as assigned by the President.
Our Desired Candidate:
Must have exceptional customer service skills. The ability to maintain high productivity in an unstructured work environment. Excels is written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Tech-comfortable and eager to promote digital banking adoption. Must possess the ability to multitask.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior cash-handling experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred.
Pay:
From $16.83 per hour
