Membership Services Coordinator

Seeking enthusiastic Membership Services Coordinator to support the sales efforts in attracting and enrolling prospective members. MUST love working within sales, fitness, and systematically working with others to create healthy lifestyles! •This position is eligible for commissions. Meets with prospective members, communicates the benefits of membership and completes the sale or close of new memberships. Assists in meeting the quota of monthly membership goals budgeted for the year. Maintains individual tracking system of members and prospective members. Assists the General Manager in creating the yearly marketing plan including a monthly written narrative which includes sales targets, budget, sales campaigns and sales vehicles and distribution channels. Serves as a sales person at the Center to conduct prospect tours and close membership sales. Trains staff and others authorized to sell memberships in selling techniques and procedures. Serves as the Center's "outside presence" in the community, to physicians and employers with respect to membership opportunities at the Center. Works with other Membership staff to organize and operate sales events designed to attract new members. Assists the Centers Leadership Team in the operation of a member retention program as assigned. Manages the customer service comment card system to monitor and resolve member complaints and concerns. Issues regular reports showing trends and specifics to allow other departments to address reoccurring issues. Keeps the Center's staff informed of membership services programs and works cooperatively to develop and implement these programs in the functional area of responsibility. Serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited school; minimum of three (3) years' experience in direct sales, customer and/or membership services, program development and/or implementation in a health/fitness employment setting, and/or supervision and management of staff preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must work well with various member populations and people of all ages. Must have the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously while paying close attention to detail. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, work efficiently without close supervision, and work effectively with other staff members. Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must demonstrate the ability to support and contribute to community team. Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
