Job Description

Eastern Region Member Services Lead New York, NY 10018 From $31.51 an hour - Full-time From $31.51 an hour - Full-time The International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 IATSE is the largest camera and publicist union in the world with over 9,000 members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We are a National Local of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE). Applications are now being accepted for the hourly, non-exempt position of Eastern Region Member Services Lead. This is an in-person position based in our Eastern Region Office in New York City.
SALARY:
Staring at $31.51 per hour, depending upon experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Administrative Manager, the Member Services Lead is responsible for coordinating the member services operations of the ER Office. The Member Services Lead also assists the union business staff in the scheduling and hosting of union meetings, film screenings, educational events/training and social events. Some overtime and weekend work is required.
  • Coordinate reinstatements, rerates, and new member paperwork. Ensure proper following of procedures established by National Office.
  • Coordinate tracking and recording of job reports and information on Eastern Region productions.
  • Provide support to members who need assistance with making payments or changing member status.
  • Attend regular meetings with Member Services Lead in National Office to ensure proper following of procedures and to discuss changes in processes.
  • Review production call sheets and crew lists and alert business staff of potential problems or concerns.
  • Distribute production and other information to other Local Unions and the International.
  • Provides updates on new union signatory companies to National Local 600 office and IATSE.
  • Coordinate the Local 600 Death Benefit and with member beneficiaries and submit necessary paperwork to National Office for processing; enter accurate and timely notations of all activities in eMembership.
  • Provide guidance to Member Services assistant for all member services related issues. Ensure processes and procedures are being followed.
  • Coordinate ERC meetings, zoom hosting, and the Camera Assistant Test.
  • Assist with credential form process for delegates who attend IATSE annual conventions.
  • Coordinate ER member-related data collection for reporting purposes.
  • Assist with ordering office supplies by identifying needs, placing orders, and ensuring costs remain within budget.
  • Schedule and assist in hosting meetings, film screenings, educational events/training and social events.
  • Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements as needed for IATSE delegates and event guests.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain an organized office environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills to interact with employees, clients, and vendors effectively.
  • Ability to establish excellent working relationships with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Ability to foster a professional and positive office environment.
  • Comfort with changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
PREFERRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • At least four (1) year of experience in a union setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
LICENSE AND PHYSICAL CLASS
  • A valid Driver's License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
  • Ability to lift-up to 20 lbs.
CLASSIFICATION
This is a non-exempt position covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement between ICG Local 600 and OPEIU Local 174. The job falls under the administrative job classification. The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
