Job Description

General Manager /
Sales Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fitness facility while driving membership sales and personal training package sales. This role combines leadership, customer service, and salesmanship, while upholding the "Colaw 5 Pillars" of success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, delivering excellent member service, and contributing to the overall success of the gym.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Membership Growth:
Actively promote and sell gym memberships, personal training packages, and fitness services to new and existing members. Convert at least 1 out of every 10 new members into personal training clients. Conduct tours for prospective members, highlighting the benefits of membership, services, and packages. Maintain strong follow-up with leads and potential members to maximize conversion rates.
Member Retention:
Focus on reducing cancellations by providing excellent customer service and addressing member concerns. Implement strategies to save 1 out of every 3 cancellations by offering customized solutions that meet member needs. Build strong relationships with members to foster loyalty and community. Monitor and address any member issues promptly, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Colaw 5

Cancellations:
Use effective communication and problem-solving techniques to retain members who are considering cancellation. Pillar #5

New Members:
Actively work to convert prospects and current members into premium services and benefits, especially personal training.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales goals and provide excellent service. Provide coaching and support to staff on best practices for member interactions and sales techniques. Collaborate with other managers to create a positive and productive work environment.
Administrative and Reporting Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of membership sales, personal training sessions, and cancellations. Provide regular reports on sales performance, member retention, and other key metrics to management. Monitor inventory for promotional materials, equipment, and supplies related to memberships and training packages.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, ideally within the fitness or service industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Knowledge of fitness trends and personal training services. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Knowledge of gym operations, equipment, and maintenance practices. Passion for fitness and helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Personal Trainer / Fitness Coach background, and looking the part is huge plus!!!
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the gym for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. or more when necessary.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Occasional evening or weekend hours required to meet sales goals and member needs.
