In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to engagement. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a welcoming environment, promote membership growth, and support administrative operations. This role oversees the membership database, supports recruitment and retention efforts, delivers high-quality customer service, and develops programs and initiatives that enhance member value and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership Management & Database Administration Maintain and manage the membership database (CRM), ensuring accuracy and integrity of member records Process new member applications, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations Manage dues invoicing, payment processing, and membership audits Monitor and follow up on lapsed memberships through outreach campaigns (email, phone, etc.) Generate reports, lists, and analytics to support membership and organizational goals Serve as liaison with database/technology vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements Member Acquisition & Retention Support and execute membership recruitment strategies to grow the organization Develop and implement retention initiatives to improve member satisfaction and renewal rates Identify trends in membership data and recommend strategies for growth Coordinate outreach to prospective members and re-engagement campaigns for inactive members Customer Service & Member Experience Serve as the front-line contact for all member inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms Provide timely, professional, and solutions-oriented customer service Assist members with account access, event registration, and benefits navigation Maintain a welcoming and responsive experience for all member interactions Member Engagement & Program Development Develop and support programs that increase member engagement and participation Collaborate with staff and leadership to create new member benefits, initiatives, and campaigns Assist in planning and execution of member communications (newsletters, announcements, onboarding materials) Manage new member onboarding, including welcome communications and materials Track engagement metrics and recommend improvements to enhance member value Events & Education Support Support membership-related aspects of events, conferences, and educational programs Assist with registration processes, attendee communications, and roster management Provide on-site support as needed, including front desk or registration assistance Coordinate follow-up communications and post-event engagement Office & Administrative Support Assist with general office operations, including phone coverage, mail, and supply coordination Maintain organized records and documentation related to membership processes Support cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives as needed Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field 2+ years of experience in membership services, customer service, or association management preferred Experience with CRM or membership database systems preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other productivity tools. Ability to lift 50 pounds Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to member engagement Pay:
