Director of Trusts About Us The mission of the Pennsylvania Municipal League is to strengthen, empower, and advocate for effective local government. Position Summary The Trusts Member Services Manager is responsible for member retention, new member integration, new member implementation, and managing member relationships for the UCOMP Trust, PennPRIME Trust, and PennPRIME Workers' Compensation Trust. This position oversees membership services and recruitment, including member relations, marketing, and sales. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, policy development, coverage requirements, public speaking, and administrative support related to the Trusts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Marketing and Member Maintenance Retain current members of all Trusts and develop strong relationships with them. Manage recruitment and retention processes for new members, current members, and prospective members. Contact agencies, distribute information, conduct follow-up calls, prepare certificates of insurance when needed, and maintain the membership database. Manage communications to members regarding renewals and new product offerings. Attend member meetings and participate in conference calls as required. Schedule training sessions and member visits for education, relationship building, and marketing of collateral products. Develop and deliver presentations and webinars highlighting the Trusts' advantages over competitors. Coordinate with Trust team members regarding member services activities. Provide technical assistance and maintain regular contact with members. Recommend members who may require on-site visits to determine whether the Trusts are meeting their service and coverage needs. Manage preparation for quarterly Trust meetings, including preparing the member services report, developing and distributing Board packets, and transcribing minutes. Interface with Boards of Trustees as needed. Select and attend exhibitor venues and continue cost-benefit evaluations to determine their value to PennPRIME and UCOMP membership growth. Utilize marketing techniques and tools to educate potential municipal clients about the Trusts and the advantages of becoming a member. Assist in the preparation of marketing brochures, advertisements, campaigns, and branding to promote the Trusts. Maintain existing broker relationships and establish expectations for new brokered business. Lead the new member integration process. Technical and Management Responsibilities Review member submissions for accuracy and completeness and follow up for additional information as needed. Work with the Director of Trusts to prepare budget items related to sales and member services functions. Maintain professional relationships with external Trust partners, including the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Trust investment advisors, actuarial and auditing firms, and third-party claims administrators. Administrative and Record keeping Responsibilities Register and make hotel reservations for conferences for attending or exhibiting staff. Manage member service issues, including certificates of insurance and coverage. Perform all other work necessary to fulfill the mission of The League and as directed by the direct supervisor, Deputy Executive Director
- Operations, and/or Executive Director.
Travel Requirements This position involves frequent travel within Pennsylvania, as well as occasional out-of-state travel to attend meetings and events. Overnight stays may be required. A valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and the ability to maintain both throughout employment are required. Work Hours and Location This position may require work beyond a normal workweek to accomplish goals and attend meetings or events outside of normal business hours. Schedules are flexible, as are work sites, including a weekly work-from-home schedule, depending on operational needs. Physical Demands and Work Conditions This position requires work in an office setting. The ability to communicate in person, by phone, and in writing is expected. While staffing meetings, programs, conferences, conventions, and other events, this position may require walking and standing for extended periods. This position may also require moving light objects weighing less than 20 pounds, such as mail, supplies, and files.
